At 35-years old, TK is self-admittedly “surfing better than he was at 25,” and he has the results to back it up. Last year revealed that the veteran still had plenty of gas left in the tank as he remained consistent throughout, scalping a season-high runner-up finish to Andy Irons at the Rip Curl Search Pro in Mexico. The mental game is always what has held Knox back from cracking the title contender code, but if last year was any indication, the “Bonehead” moniker may soon be a distant memory. Always a threat in pointbreaks, a solid start at the opening two events this season could see Taylor mixing it up with the likes of Andy, Taj, Joel, Mick and traveling partner Slater.
